Ooooh, this is getting SO GOOD. Also, I wasn't allowed to date when I was 16, so I found myself slack-jawed that a mother would let her 16-yr-old son live separately with this girlfriend. Wow. I'd be worried about becoming a grandma before the kid graduated from high school. Also, Blaze leaving you alone on a bus to sit elsewhere? RUDE MUCH! I think at that point, I would've gone back home. LOL You don't leave me to sit by myself on a fucking Greyhound bus! Those things are so dicey.

My parents let me live with my friend, not a boyfriend, and I was just about to turn 17, my birthday is in November! Yes, it was very young, but my friend’s parents got transferred back to Singapore in the final two years of her IB (high school exams), and the school was close to the studio flat we rented, so it was actually easier for everyone that way. But yes, we had a lot of fun in that apartment, although my friend was pretty disciplined and well behaved compared to me; not that I was wild, I was shy, but maybe a little more open-minded and curious compared to her! And yes, when I think of Blaze leaving me to sit with weirdos on the Greyhound bus… Ugh!

What a charming story well told. Before I knew it, I was lost within until it was over. 📌❤️✅

Wow! I feel like we've lived parallel lives, if that's the phrase I want. Can't wait to read more.

I love this. The things we do in our youth. I travelled the world on a shoestring. Great memories.
