TALL POPPY
I'm growing things
I planted agapanthus, Told it to do its thing. You know, Stay blue and white, Remain Agapanthically pretty. Today it staged a revolution Going full tall poppy With a coral and gold twist, And there’s a tiny handsome man in a linen suit Wandering around beneath it Like it’s business as usual. Hurray! I shall be a tall poppy too, Fearless, Full of surprises. Let the garden misbehave. And if anyone wonders What on earth I’m doing – I’m growing things.

So much fun!
I love this. "I'm growing things," so speaks to my heart. Mischievous and delightful.
