SCIENCE FICTION
A tiny poem, and a thank you note ❤️
When the wind is wild, Surely all stars should be of the shooting variety, And the planets blown haywire. Just like my hair. 🌬️🌬️🌬️ Hello! Happy New Year ❤️ Thank you for reading my work, for your support, for reaching out, for offering me amazing new opportunities, for buying my poetry book. I love this community! I hope I have been as supportive to you as so many of you have been to me. I look forward to getting to know you better, possibly even meeting up with some of you if we happen to be close by. And I look forward to meeting those I haven't yet met.
This year I had the pleasure of meeting Amy Brown and Teneia Sanders who both live in Barcelona. I gave them a tour of Girona, the lovely town close to where I live when I'm in Spain, and then we had a sleepover, kind of like teenagers, except we each had our own room because we are ladies – and lots of giggles! I also met Catriona Knapman, who happened to be staying five minutes from my house in Switzerland! I couldn't believe it; I mean, what are the odds? And yes, I know I mentioned to someone somewhere that I am going to try to get a handle on my (over)use of exclamation marks and adjectives, but it's New Year's Eve, it's been a serious handful of a year, so whatever!!!!! Cedric and I will not be doing anything like this tonight:
He has a cold, and I have all sorts of fun and glamorous delights, so we are staying home with our books, my crochet, and the fireplace.
Also, I have no idea whether these gifs I've spent far too long messing around with will work, but you get the idea. This year I made this! Yay me! I especially want to thank all those of you who wrote lovely reviews of Illicit Croissants At Dawn on Amazon. I need to get better at writing reviews, too.
I have loads of new projects tucked up my sleeve for 2026. HAPPY NEW YEAR! My wish for 2026? World Peace 🕊️🕊️
Lots of love, Francesca xx ❤️❤️

Happy New Year, Cesca!!
Love the poem 💫
